Absinthe & Pastis

La Muse Verte Absinthe Traditionnelle

  • 68% ABV - 750mL

La Muse Verte Absinthe Traditionnelle is one of the rare absinthes on the market with a historical alcohol content of 68%.

It’s the only absinthe made with totally fresh, cut baby absinthe leaves (used within 5 min. of harvest) grown on the property.

La Muse Verte Absinthe contains no sugar or additives, and is entirely natural. For this reason, it is packaged in a black opaque bottle, so that the light does not spoil its color or taste.

  • Color: bright jade green.

Nose: subtle vegetal notes and hints of spring scent.

Palate: herbaceous underwood, floral, spicy hints of anise.

  • 95 points. Top 100 Spirits "Classic aromas of clean and spicy licorice and anise are pungent from this pretty mint green spirit. Spicy and crisp licorice flavors dominate the palate, making this well suited for solo sipping or mixing- a little goes a long way." (Ultimate Spirit Challenge 2022)

96 points. "Extraordinary, Ultimate Recommendation "Rich green hay color that turn milk cloudy when mixed with water in the glass. Fragrant mint, tarragon and fennel seeds are dominant and enticing. The palate is hot with matcha spice, licorice and balancing sweetness leads into a long finish." (Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2018 )

Chairman's Trophy, 97 points "Extraordinary, Ultimate Recommendation" (Ultimate Spirit Challenge 2013)

“...very good purity...wonderful scents... a quality that’s unusual and pleasing... more in line with how I envision real absinthe to be.” (Spirit Journal)

Armagnac

Dartigalongue Bas Armagnac XO

  • 40% ABV - 750mL

    Min. 10 years old

  • Warm and honey gold color, scents of almond paste and fruits. In the mouth, the wood is light and not overpowering, allowing some flavors of tropical fruits, apricot and vanilla. The finish is medium long and elegant.

  • Gold Medal (Bartender Spirits Awards, 2021)

4 stars, Highly Recommended. "Lovely mahogany color; flawless clarity. First nosings encounter ambrosial, wonderfully vibrant scents of ripe nectarines and pears, as well as spiced pear torte; secondary sniffs pick up more mature, wood influenced notes of oak sap, sawdust, pine 2 x 4, mushrooms, and cinnamon. Entry is nicely acidic so the first taste is fresh, clean, and crisp and this is followed by dried fruit flavors, namely dates, black raisins, and figs; the midpalate is the sweet-spot, in which the various aromatic and gustatory aspects merge into a singular flavor that's mature, bittersweet, tinged with baking spice, moderately oily / fatty, and harmonious. Toasty, sap- and maple-like, and a bit bitter on the finish as the taste profile retreats slightly from the full-out experience of the midpalate. (Paul Pacult, The New Kindred Spirits 2021)

    94 points. (Wine Enthusiast, 2012)

"Excellent / Highly Recommended, 93 points" (Ultimate Spirits Challenge, 2011)

Dartigalongue Bas Armagnac Hors d’Age

  • 40% ABV - 750mL

    Minimum 15 years old.

  • Deep amber color, scents of baked apple, butter and black oak. The mouth is vibrant and generous, featuring again the baked apples, the oak and then some toffee and vanilla with some hints of tobacco toward the end. The finish is long, fat and silky.

  • 93 points. Excellent/Highly Recommended. "A nose of a sweet port and balsamic vinegar reduction. Hints of olives and brine on the nose. The initial flavors have distinct notes of kettle corn, sweet caramel and butter. Seasonings of nougat, almond butter and toasted nutmeg nestle in the mid palate." (Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2023)

94 points. "Vanilla sweetness blends with ginger, cayenne, cinnamon and cardamom, perked up by a dried apricot midpalate. The long finish similarly leads from spiced to sweet, finishing with a crème caramel exhale." (Wine Enthusiast, 2021)

5 stars! Highest Recommendation "Cocoa brown color; flawless purity.... A session Bas-Armagnac that's refined, mature, and ambrosial. Absolutely must be on your brandy wish list." (Paul Pacult, Spirit Journal, 2018)

Gold medal (San Francisco World Spirits Competition)

Gold Medal (BTI International Review of Spirits, 2011)

Dartigalongue Bas Armagnac 25 Year Old Grande Eau-de-Vie

  • 40% ABV - 750mL

This Grand Eau-de-Vie was created by the cellar master to illustrate the beauty and richness of their Armagnac. The youngest vintage used in this wonderful expression has spent a minimum of 25 years in oak barrels, but some of the eau-de-vie in the composition are much older; and since the barrel is never completely emptied, there remain Armagnacs inside that are many decades old.

Blend of several vintages aged much more than 25 years in oak barrels.

  • Nose: Vanilla, dried fruits, spices on the nose, as well as white flower notes after a short aeration.

Palate: The palate is intense, developing aromas of dried fruits, spices, hints of "rancio," with a wonderful licorice finish.

Very subtle and elegant extra old blend.

  • 97 points. "Look for a deep amber hue and vanilla and toffee aromas in this 25-year-old bottling. Cocoa powder and crushed walnut lead into rich toffee, burnt caramel and roasted nuts, finishing with a lip-smacking hint of candied ginger heat." (Wine Enthusiast 2021)

Gold medal (Brandy Consumer Choice Awards 2021)

Chairman's Trophy / 97 points / Extraordinary, Ultimate Recommendation "A whiff of fruitcake on the nose delivers plenty of dried fruits and Christmas spices. The fruitcake intensifies on the palate before notes of licorice and something reminiscent old library books are revealed." (Ultimate Spirits Challenge, 2017)

5 stars / Highest Recommendation "The dense copper color is dazzling and free from sediment. First sniffs detect old leather-bound books, library, coffee grounds, saddle leather, and cedar; more time in the glass releases bakery-like aromas of mincemeat pie, allspice, and biscuit batter. Entry is seductively succulent, as in dried apricot, white raisins, and prune, as well as piquant with freshly ground pepper; midpalate highlights the dried fruits and adds astringent flavors such as citrus peel, nutmeg, flaxseed oil, and litchi. Finishes gracefully and medium long, with a charming ending flurry of oak resin/maple. Very nice indeed." (Paul Pacult, Spirit Journal, 2017)

"I’d like to give a special shoutout to the 25-year-old Grand Eau de-Vie, which is one of the benchmark blends in Armagnac: Complex, swirling aromas of winter spice, pine forest, fruit pastry, and leather; subtle and soft at first, maple and apricot, then it gets spicier and more peppery, with rancio on the midpalate and an extraordinary finish full of licorice and tobacco. It’s been one of my favorites for years, and in a world of increasingly pricey brown spirits, it remains an excellent value." (Jason Wilson, The Brandy Advocate)

Dartigalongue Un-Oaked Armagnac

  • 43.2% ABV - 750mL

The aromatic richness of Armagnac derives from a process of continuous distillation in a short column still, invented in the 19th century in Gers by Sieur Tuilliere. This method of distillation produces fruity and round eaux-de-vie, particularly suited to Blanche Armagnac.

Maturation: gradual reduction with water over the period of 3 months in a stainless-steel tank, earning the name “Unoaked.” Not aged in oak barrels.

  • Tasting Notes: Subtle aromas of pear, apple, and white flowers. The palate is round, with a velvety texture and a finish of sweet almonds.

  • Enjoy: neat, on ice, or subbed for any white spirit in your favorite cocktail.

Dartigalongue Double-Oaked Armagnac

  • 43.3% ABV - 750mL

Our Armagnacs are aged in barrels crafted by our local coopers and made from Gascon oak, which comes from the nearby Southwestern forests. With this experiment, we desired to enhance the remarkable aromas typical of Gascon oak with a double maturation in new barrels.

Distillation: single distilled in a traditional Armagnacais column still to 58% vol.

Maturation: Aged a minimum of 4 years in two maturations, earning the name “Double Oaked.” The first aging is done in heavily toasted new Gascon oak; the second in new Gascon oak with a special toasting level.

Enjoy: neat, paired with dessert, or in an Old Fashioned Cocktail.

  • The palate is rich with toasted bread, cacao, spices, and roasted flavors.

  • Spirit of the Year (Cavistes & eCommerce, presented at VinExpo Paris, 2022)

92 points, Gold (Bartender Spirits Awards, 2022)

93 points, Excellent, Highly Recommended, Finalist, Great Value. “Expressive with bitter chocolate, clover honey, and cherry blossom on the nose. Ultra round on the palate with notes of bright stone fruit, toasted bread, warm baking spices, and tejate. Lingers elegant and lace-like on the finish." (Ultimate Spirits Challenge, 2022)

95 points. "This robust brandy is ideal for bourbon fans, aged in new French oak with a heavy toast, then given a second aging in new French oak with a medium toast. Expect a copper penny hue and concentrated, rich caramel and chocolate aromas. The palate echoes that cocoa note, leading into toffee accented by espresso. The finish dries to walnut and clove accents enlivened by a hint of apricot." (Wine Enthusiast, 2021)

Delord Blanche Armagnac

  • 40% ABV - 750mL

Blanche is a new A.O.C. (Appellation d'Origine Controlée) approved in 2005. It represents a renaissance of traditional Armagnac eau-de-vie rekindled by the producers. Coming from the same Armagnac terroir, it is the result of a thousand year old savoir-faire of distillation.

  • Delord’s Blanche is rich and fruity, strong and round, and therefore can be consumed in a variety of ways:

    • Pure, at room temperature, chilled or with an ice cube, just so you can appreciate the true beautiful flavors and roundness

    • With caviar, smoked fish and numerous desserts such as lemon tart, key lime pie, tart tatin and lemon sabayon.

    • In a variety of cocktails: it marries well with citrus flavors, red berries, kiwi, and chocolate. Use Delord Blanche as a replacement for vodka in any cocktail to add a depth of flavor.

  • 90 points, Excellent, Highly Recommended ”Bright and fresh on the nose, with allusions to quince, pearl skin, nectarine, white flower, and grapefruit marmalade. Soft and almost juicy on the palate, with tropical melon and pear opening up over a deep mineral base and touches of almond skin.” (Ultimate Spirits Challenge, 2022)

Gold medal (Concours General Agricole, Paris, 2022, 2018, and 2017)

Delord Bas Armagnac XO

  • 40% - 750mL

    Minimum 15 years old.

  • This exceptional XO displays a masterful balance of ripe fruit, wood and buttery orange pound cake. Smooth and deep with a wealth of rancio.

  • 96 points. "Look for rich flavors and dark spices: toffee, burnt caramel, dark-roast coffee, deeply toasted gingerbread embellished with clove and black pepper. The notably long sweet-and spiced finish will not quit." (Wine Enthusiast, 2021)

4 stars. Highly Recommended. Sandy brown / topaz color; immaculately clean. I like this opening aroma as I encounter floral / garden-like scents of jasmine, honeysuckle, and green vegetation, along with latent orchard fruit aromas; after more aeration, the bouquet turns a bit like textile fibers, linen, and cotton fiber before turning mildly nut-like. Entry is engagingly sweet, caramel-like, brown sugar-like, and chewy in texture; at midpalate, more fruit aspects emerge in the forms of black raisins, prunes, and dates. Concludes appealingly long in the throat, moderately lush in texture, medium oily, and peppery. The progressive nature of the innate quality of the Bas-Armagnac is obvious, in particular, from entry to the alluring finish." (Paul Pacult, The New Kindred Spirits 2021)

96 points. "Light copper in color, but rich and unctuous in the mouth, with a long velvety finish. Delord XO is a dense and complex 15-year-old with scents of wildflowers and spring herbs, flavors of orange zest, fig, nougat, and a gorgeous, lengthy crème brûlée finish. Excellent value that could convince a committed Bourbon drinker to embrace French brandy." (Vinous, Jul 2018)

Delord Bas Armagnac 25 Age d’Ans

  • 40% ABV - 750mL

    25 years old

  • This superb blend displays flavors or cocoa, spices, vanilla, raisins, walnut and cinnamon. Its finish is long, silky and biscuity.

  • 97 points. "Vanilla bean and allspice aromas entice on the nose. The bold, complex palate opens with oak and caramel brushed with toffee and espresso, finishing with a grip of tannins and plum skin dryness. Walnut and clove frame the exit." (Wine Enthusiast, 2021)

5 stars, Highest Recommendation. "Mahogany color; superb clarity. I get buttery notes upfront that give way to bigger fragrances of citrus peel, meringue, egg white, and black tea; secondary inhalations after more aeration discover subtle notes of lime / citrus, black tea, and white raisins. Entry is sensationally clean, zesty, and defined by the notable presence of citrus rind, white raisins, kiwi, nutmeg, clove, and oak nuances; midpalate continues the subtlety found in the entry stage as the quiet merging of the fruit, acid, baking spice, and fatty oak elements creates a sophisticated and integrated core flavor that's about as sublime as mature Bas-Armagnac can get. The finish is a savory masterpiece of grape brandy balance, subtle strength, and integration. . This bas-armagnac could have no other score but five stars.” (Paul Pacult. The New Kindred Spirits 2021)

Chairman's Trophy, 97 points. "Extraordinary, Ultimate Recommendation" (Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2020 & 2011)

    Gold medal (Talents d'Armagnac, 2017-2018)

97 points. "Delord’s 25-year-old is surely deep and complex, but it surprises with its vibrance and freshness. Perky, patisserie aromas of pineapple cake, candied ginger, and orangette entice, then give way to darker notes on the palate of chocolate, coffee, and hints of rancio, culminating in a rich finish of walnut, membrillo, and cheese that lingers for what seems like hours." (Vinous Jul. 2108)

"This is the ultimate hand-crafted spirit." (May Matta-Aliah of In The Grape)

“Let’s keep this little gem a secret among ourselves, shall we? This is a lovely, reasonably priced Armagnac from Maison Delord that blends Armagnac from both column and charentais stills, giving this youngster an unexpected weight and roundness. An unmistakably spicy, yeasty nose is typically Armagnacais, with pineapple, raisins, molasses, dried herbs and oak vanillins taking their turns on the palate of this little pleaser. A flavour bomb of fresh oak that offers value for money and a worthwhile detour for bored bourbon fans.” (Distilled. Magazine)

Marie Duffau Bas Armagnac Hors d’Age

  • 40% ABV - 750mL

    Minimum 12 years old

  • Rich flavors of toffee, old oak, pitted plum and raisins; elegant rancio and long round finish.

  • Chairman's Trophy, 97 points, Great Value “12 years of age have tamed this brandy’s rough edges resulting in a rich, toffee-laden spirit with hints of baked citrus delightful to sip on its own and arguably the best partner for chocolate toned desserts.” (Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2019)

4 stars, Highly Recommended ”Sienna color; ideal purity. Initial whiffs pick up BBQ sauce, tomato paste, red cherry compote, white raisins, and black peppercorn; secondary inhalations find an oakier bouquet, one that's piquant with baking spices (allspice, nutmeg) and dried fruits (dates especially). Entry is supple in texture, zesty from the peppercorn aspect, nicely woody / sap-like, and akin to holiday fruitcake elements, especially the candied nuts and dried pineapple; midpalate echoes the entry impressions while adding a touch of cola nut for balance. Aftertaste highlights the cola nut, the Dr. Pepper aspects, turning semisweet. This Bas-Armagnac has lots of moving parts that get into sync in the finish. Calvados

Claque-Pépin Calvados Fine

  • 40% ABV - 750mL

This quality is a blend of apples and pears which come mostly from the Domfrontais area.

Ideal as an aperitif, mixed in cocktails, or for cooking.

  • A young calvados with a golden hue, a pronounced aroma of apples, and a soft mouth feel.

  • 92 points. Excellent/Highly Recommended. Great Value! "Beguiling bouquet of baked apples, nutmeg, graham cracker, pipe tobacco, and sandalwood. Woodsy and spicy on the palate, pink peppercorn, apple tart tatin, and cinnamon bark join together for a warm, elegant finish dotted with fresh apples and custard." (Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2023)

4 stars. Highly recommended. “I like the zesty first nosing passes as the richness of baked apple pastry that’s slightly spiced with cinnamon makes its case with conviction; with aeration, the juiciness of the apple becomes apparent, and it’s this development that makes the aroma so pleasing. Entry is tangy, apple- and pear-like, baked, spicy (now more mace and nutmeg than cinnamon), but it’s the richness of the velvety texture that rings my chimes; midpalate is chunky, silky in mouthfeel, and vividly tart and apple peel-like, and it’s the acidity that balances the buttery texture, thereby creating a solid four star experience. Ends up gently sweet, juicy, ripe, and amazingly fresh. (Paul Pacult, The New Kindred Spirits 2021)

92 points. "Bright, fresh aromas suggest apple and apricot. The soft, spiced palate shows stone fruit and coconut drizzled with honey, finishing with a baking spice exhale." (Wine Enthusiast 2021)

Fleeting sweetness on the feather-light palate echoes those aromas as delicious vanilla, almond and creamy flan wind into a zingy citrus finish accented by ginger." (Wine Enthusiast, 2017)

Highly Recommended / 4 stars "Entry is keenly dry, almost astringent, as the high level of acidity maintains the sturdy structure, allowing the fruit and oak to merge into a tasty flavor profile that’s nearly smoky in its ripeness. Midpalate shows maturity, elegance, and a supple, creamery butter-like roundness that reaches deep into the aftertaste.” (2017 Rating, Paul Pacult, The New Kindred Spirits, 2021)

Gold medal (Brandy Consumer Choice Awards 2021)

5 stars. Highest Recommendation “Twelve years old minimum. Seriously attractive bronze/bright old gold color. First whiffs encounter ripe, substantial aromas of beeswax, parchment, faint baked banana, and minerals; secondary nosings after further aeration come out slightly toasted, grapy-ripe, earthy/stony, and clean as a whistle. Entry is delightfully sweet and grapy in a jammy, compote way, and texture is like fine silk—man, this is savory; midpalate is medium long, subtle, integrated, and sound. Ends on perhaps its best moment of the evaluation as the supple viscosity, deep richness of the oak, and the crispness of the fruit converge in a glorious moment of triumph.” (Paul Pacult, The New Kindred Spirits, 2021)

94 points / Best of 2017 "Instead of dessert, sip on this tawny Cognac. Dusty cocoa and pecan pie richness vie for the palate alongside vanilla and cream caramel, with hints of apple and a zing of ginger and nutmeg. All together, the effect is not overly sweet but still distinctly, enticingly dessert-like." (Wine Enthusiast, 2017)

96 points. "Highly Recommended, Superb. "Rich and luxurious, this 12-year-old “Tres Vielle” Cognac offers deep toffee and hazelnut flavors, before tapering off to a cocoa and espresso-inflected finish. It's a well-structured brandy that puts you in mind of a leather club chair—you just want to close your eyes and sink into it." (Wine Enthusiast, 2013)

  • 96 points. Best Buy. "Vanilla and cocoa aromas show on the nose. The palate is decadent but light. What first reads as roasted coffee and hazelnut leads into traces of honeycomb, pecan pie and candied orange peel, drying into a citrusy finish." (Wine Enthusiast 2023)

91 points, Gold (Bartender Spirits Awards, 2022)

Gold Medal (Meininger's International Spirits Awards 2022)

94 points. Great Value! "A beautiful, deep amber color, this brandy shows a bouquet of dried white plum, milk chocolate, toasted nougat, and tangerine zest. Big flavors of oak and vanilla dominate the palate and culminate in a fruitcake finish." (Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2021)

4 stars. Highly recommended. “I encounter traces of dark fudge, caramel, raisins, and brown sugar in the opening whiffs after the pour; following another seven minutes of aeration, the bouquet goes from confections to fruits, in particular, baked fruits, such as banana and pears, and also resinous oak. Entry is firm, acidic/astringent, semisweet, and like chocolate-covered banana; midpalate is more pear-like than like tropical fruit and is spicy (clove, allspice). Concludes long in the throat, narrow in focus, and directed at the baked fruit and wood. A classy VSOP to reckon with.” (Paul Pacult, The New Kindred Spirits 2021)

Double Gold Medal (San Francisco Spirits Competition 2018)

4 stars, Highly Recommended. “The opening aromas are opulent, toasty, grainy, malty, and ripe, and frankly, much nicer than when I evaluated it in 2011; second-stage nosing passes detect delicately spiced fruit-like scents, especially spiced pear, as well as elegant, supplemental fragrances of toffee, cinnamon, allspice, and honeysuckle.
